In Dyrevidenskab, the focus is on keeping healthy animals healthy. You will learn about animal anatomy, physiology, nutrition, breeding, housing, health, and welfare. The programme also aims to strengthen your interdisciplinary skills such as written and oral communication, project work, and collaboration.
The Bachelor’s degree in Dyrevidenskab takes three years, after which you can, for example, continue on the two-year Master’s programme in Animal Science. The teaching on the bachelor’s programme is practice-oriented, and you will work with healthy animals from day one. The programme integrates basic scientific elements such as biochemistry, statistics, and microbiology into the individual courses. The language of instruction on this programme is Danish.
