Senior consultant Anne-Luise Skov Jensen has been appointed as the interim director of DCA - Danish Centre For Food And Agriculture at Aarhus University.

The appointment follows the departure of the current director, Niels Halberg, who will leave his position at DCA on 1 January 2025 to take up a role as a senior researcher at the Department of Agroecology.

Anne-Luise Skov Jensen, an agronomist by training, has gained deep insight into Danish agricultural production and research, the associated industries around primary production, and the political and legislative frameworks within which the sector operates. She already works with research-based public sector consultancy at DCA and has extensive experience with EU projects and fundraising.

The interim appointment is initially for six months or until a new director is appointed.

Anne-Luise Skov Jensen will lead DCA together with a temporary management team consisting of Lene Hegelund as team leader for the policy support team and Hubert de Jonge as team leader for the international cooperation team, while Jesper Emborg continues as head of communications and team leader for the communications team.

"I am grateful that Anne-Luise Skov Jensen is willing to take on the task of leading DCA, and that there is also a management team ready to work with her on this. It is important to have clarity about the organisation while we recruit new leadership," says Ole Hertel, Vice-Dean for public sector consultancy and business collaboration.

As interim director, Anne-Luise Skov Jensen will also be part of the faculty management at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. The position of director for DCA will be advertised in January.
