As a professor and head of section, I mainly do research in and teach subjects related to Orofacial Pain and Jaw Function. Furthermore, I serve as deputy head for research at the overall department level. I have a background in dentistry and enjoy collaborating with experts from other scientific and clinical fields within or outside of the scope of health sciences.
I am particularly interested in diagnosis and management of orofacial pain using studies of the physiological mechanisms behind chronic orofacial pain conditions.
I mainly teach oral physiology as well as orofacial pain and jaw function for dental students.
My tasks are primarily related to research and education within orofacial pain and jaw funtion. Besides this, I contribute to the Department´s leadership and administration through my roles as Section Head and Deputy Head for Research.
