As a postdoc at the Department of Dermatology, Aarhus University, I study inflammatory skin diseases and how inflammation that starts in the skin can spread through the body. I have established a mouse model of pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) linking chronic skin ulcers to gut inflammation. The project is anchored in the DREAM Center. I hold a Mester in Molecular Medicine and a PhD in nutritional research.
Immunological mechanisms underlying inflammatory skin disease and its links to systemic inflammation, at the moment with particular focus on pyoderma gangrenosum. Work includes preclinical disease models to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
