I am interested in atmospheric aerosols, tiny particles that have a disproportionately large influence on radiation and climate. I study aerosols using field experiments, focusing on their size distribution, hygroscopicity, chemical composition, and optical properties. I am particularly interested in how global warming affects atmospheric aerosol properties, aerosol–cloud interactions, radiative forcing, and how these processes feed back to Arctic climate change.
