Public sector consultancy at Technical Sciences

Research-based public sector consultancy (science-based advice)

Technical Sciences provides research-based public sector consultancy to national authorities, government agencies and public administration, in short and for daily use referred to as "science-based advice". The faculty thus helps to ensure independent knowledge as a basis for the development of society. Providing advice is conducted through the national centres DCA and DCE.

Giving advice is part of the research-based public sector consultancy, which is a common national term for a number of services that universities can provide for the state and other operators. Both the advice and the underlying research activities are carried out by active researchers.

Research-based public sector consultancy comprises :

  • Science-based advice provided by the researchers in connection with specific orders from ministries, government agencies and public administration.
  • Research that underlies the advice.
  • A number of tasks and services, e.g. in connection with surveillance, monitoring and readiness etc.

The science-based advice is conducted through the national centres DCA - Danish Centre For Food And Agriculture and DCE - Danish Centre For Environment And Energy
