Educational Developer at Aarhus University, Denmark since 2010.
In my role as an educational developer, I focus on three key areas:
My work combines educational development, teaching, research, and international collaboration to enhance teaching and learning in higher education. As an educational developer and senior consultant at Aarhus University, I specialise in feedback, assessment, and academic development, supporting university teachers in designing learning environments that foster student engagement, feedback literacy, and meaningful learning.
My research focuses on teacher feedback literacy and evidence-informed approaches to assessment and feedback, conducted through collaborations with researchers in Denmark, Norway, and Australia, including the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE) at Deakin University. These collaborations strengthen both my research and my educational development practice, particularly in areas such as authentic assessment, inclusion, and assessment in the age of Generative AI.
Alongside my work in educational development, I coordinate and teach professional development programmes for university teachers across disciplines and contribute to international capacity building through partnerships, workshops, and collaborative projects.
Although my career has evolved from tropical ecology to educational development, my background in biology continues to inform my teaching, supervision, and international outlook. Throughout my career, I have been motivated by a commitment to bridging research and practice and contributing to the continuous improvement of higher education.
