As a toxicologist, I work in the field of Toxicology and Environmental Medicine. My work focuses on assessing the impact of environmental contaminants on human health. I hold a PhD in Medicine and have a background in Public Health.
Our research particular focus on the health effects of human exposure to endocrine-disrupting compounds in daily life. By measuring the levels of mixtures of these compounds in the human body, we aims to enhance understanding of their impact. Ultimately, we strive to protect public health, with special attention to vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and children.
I teach courses in Environmental Medicine for medical doctor education and public health science at the bachelor’s level, as well as an Arctic Medicine course for master's degree medical students.
My primary responsibilities include research-based teaching and research in Toxicology, Molecular Epidemiology, and Arctic Health.
