Research

My research focuses on multi-species systems and biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. With a background in pollination ecology, my work spans pollinator ecology, habitat-quality assessments, ecological network analysis, and landscape-scale biodiversity modelling. I work at the interface between basic ecological research and applied biodiversity management in farming systems. Drawing on expertise in insect ecology, I investigate how functional biodiversity underpins key ecosystem services such as pollination and natural pest control. I am strongly engaged in interdisciplinary research supporting the green transition, with an emphasis on integrating biodiversity-friendly management into sustainable agriculture. My projects are typically co-developed with farmers, advisors, and policy-makers, to help align scientific results with evidence-based policy and practical implementation.
