Every year, Tech offers a course for everyone working with public sector consultancy
The course consists of a 4-hour online kick off on Zoom and, after a few weeks, a two-day residential course at a hotel in the Triangle Area.
Who?
This course is aimed at employees and PhD-students at AU who wish to qualify for the ability to deliver research-based public sector consultancy.
The course is an offer to PhD students. At the same time, the course is compulsory for all employees who will be working with science-based advice, e.g. researchers, senior researchers, senior advisers, professors, AC's, research assistants.
The purpose of the course is to provide the student with the knowledge, skills and competences needed to provide independent, research-based public-sector consultancy of high quality and consistency within their field of research.
Note that the course is adapted to English and that not all materials will be available in English.
Newly hired should complete the course within 2 years, whereas experienced employees must complete the course before summer 2027 with the following modification:
The Faculty Management Team at TECH approved on 1 July 2026 that:
The objective is that all project managers/coordinators complete the course before the deadline of 1 July 2027.
Based on the number of experienced staff members still to complete the course and the expected number of new staff members, the deadline for all experienced staff was set at 31 December 2028.
