Science-based advice at Aarhus University centres on academic quality, punctuality, visibility of results as well as coordination and dialogue with the client, while ensuring that science-based advice from the university is always kept clearly separate from the subsequent policy-making processes.

Quality assurance throughout the entire process is an important element in science-based advice, and Technical Sciences therefore has implemented a common and cohesive quality management system for science-based advice. The system guarantees high-quality services by ensuring quality in the individual steps in the process, and it can also be used as external documentation for how quality is assured in science-based advice from Technical Sciences.

The quality management system is certified according to the quality standard ISO9001. The certification was performed by FORCE Certification in September 2020, and the system was re-certified in September 2023.
